If I were to compose a law prohibiting texting while driving, it would be a law that would be enforced very strongly. The law would say, “If texting and driving you will be ticketed and forced to take driving lessons”. I think that would be a very reasonable law. I also believe that people would not want to take a chance of dying or receiving those consequences. In the article it said that laws really don’t help much because nobody really follows them all the time. But I do think that most sane kids would follow this law.

Drinking and driving and texting and driving are pretty much alike. They both can kill or injure you very badly. Their both highly dangerous combinations, and shouldn’t be done. There’s really only one contrast about them. That is that one is dealing with technology and the other is dealing with alcohol. I do think drinking and driving is way worse though.

My plan to reduce texting and driving would be very similar to the one in the article. I would contact different radio stations and the cell phone companies as well. I would really try to get the word out about the dangers of texting and driving. It seems like the people in the article had success doing it. So I think I would be just as successful if not more. The thing that really gets teens attention is when you bring up past stories of victims from texting and driving.

Why Use CSS?

The first reason why we use CSS is that it can separate presentation from content. That makes it easier to maintainthe appearance of your site from a central location because you don’t need to update every property on every page whenever you want to make a change. The second reason is that by using CSS it makes it easier to control each of the settings that you want. This way you can edit everything on the website that you want manually. The third reason is when using CSS it makes actually typing up the html easier. By using the option “Design View” you can actually see how your web page is going to look. That also allows you to make changes on your web page before viewing it on a browser. The fourth reason is In CSS you can use tags and edit them without having to type all of your changes. The same thing goes for the elements on your web page. The fifth reason why we use CSS is so we can be more organized when doing html. It really does all the work for you if you really think about it. It’s just easier to use CSS and it keeps you more organized. The sixth reason is CSS has cascading styles which allows you to adjust your web page to the actual browser. All browsers have a different way of how their web layout is set up. By using the cascading style you can adjust your web page/layout to what ever or every browser. The seventh reason is that its just really easy to use CSS. It takes less time to build a web page by using CSS, because there’s so many short-cuts that you can use.

Planning A Website

My website is going to be about shoes (Jordan, Nike, Converse, Vanz). I have planned on taking pictures of different types of shoes that kids wear nowadays. My audience would be kids from about 10-19 years old. The name of my buttons would be (HOME, TYPES OF SHOES, HISTORY, PICTURES/GALLERY, DIAGRAM OF THE SHOE, RELEASE DATES). My “HOME” page is just going to have information about me and pictures of different types of shoes. My “TYPES OF SHOES” page is going to have all different types of shoes with information about them. My “HISTORY’ page is going to have the history of some of the best and expensive shoes ever made. My “PICTURES/GALLERY” page will have lots of pictures of shoes and also some inventors. My “DIAGRAM OF A SHOE” page will have a diagram of the showing the sole, tongue, and etc. My “RELEASE DATES” page will have all the future release dates for all the new shoes coming out. I will also have pictures of the shoes as well. I plan to take pictures of different types of shoes at home and at school. I will get a lot of my info and facts from the internet and magazines.

Characteristics of a Successful Website

The three main characteristics a good website should have are, Content Information, Appealing and professional Appearance, Usability and Functionality. Content Information helps makes a good website because it is the basic things on a website. Such as Headers, Pictures, Facts about your page and etc. Appealing and Professional Appearance helps make a good website by making sure the color scheme and other things like graphics are well put together. What I mean by well put together is that your colors on your page match and kind of set the mood of what your page is about, your graphics should be the same. Usability and Functionality helps make a good website by making the website easy to use. Also by making graphics and pictures fast to download. This also helps the user to navigate through the website as well.

Optimizing Image

The first thing you should do with an image is crop them. By cropping them it helps the viewers focus on the subject. So basically don’t have a bunch of wasted space in the pictures. The second thing is not to have a lot of colors in the photo. When you create GIF image you are given the color-safe palette. The palette contains 213 colors that most monitors can display. In the picture try to have three or less different types of colors. The third thing you need to do is Optimize your photos. Photo shop is one of the programs that can help you do that. It helps display what the image type is and see what size the image will be.
